Saxenburg Shiraz 2006 winner at top 100 SA Wines 20th April 2011 – Cape Town Top 100 SA Wines showcases South Africa’s finest wines as judged by a panel of renowned international and South African judges. Top 100 SA Wines is a new, innovative, premium brand based around South Africa’s finest wines and will help re-position South Africa’s top wines with clarity, vigour and integrity. The inaugural fine wine Challenge has been held, judged by some of the finest international and SA palates. Five of the nine judges were MW qualified – Masters of Wine of whom there are less than 300 in the world. The results were released last night in full party mode as the much anticipated and eagerly awaited celebration and book launch took place at 5 star boutique hotel, Rodwell House in St. James, Cape Town. A jazz band, canapés and the top 100 SA fine wines kept the party going long after the awards ceremony was complete. |
