Vinification Details
This is a fruity, early drinking, medium-bodied wine and is a blend of Merlot and shiraz.

 

Grapes were harvest in February/March and cultivars were separately fermented in the traditional Saxenburg way and blended together after wood maturation.  The wine was in French and American oak (3rd & 4th fill oak) for 12 months, no racking or fining.

 

A complex , medium bodied wine, with warm spicy black fruit richness.  Wonderfully approachable at the moment. Ideal with lamb or red meat dishes, and pasta or as a casual wine.
